Why recruiters notice these words
AI writing tools reach for the same few words, so recruiters now meet them in CV after CV. A line that “spearheaded a robust, cutting-edge platform” says nothing they can check, and reads like many they've seen before.
What works instead is what you'd say in an interview: what you did, what you did it with, and what changed. “Moved 40 services to Kubernetes and cut deploys from an hour to ten minutes” can't be mistaken for anyone else's CV.
What this check isn't
It isn't an AI detector, and it won't help anyone hide AI use. Detectors get people wrong often enough that a score from one proves little either way. The point is a CV that sounds like you, which is also a CV you can talk through in an interview.
