Terms of use

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and RoleScaler for using RoleScaler. By creating an account you accept them. The privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

2. The beta

RoleScaler is in beta: it's free, it's still changing, and things may break or be removed. We'll give notice before any paid plan and won't charge you without your agreement. We may limit how much of each feature you can use.

3. Your account

• You must be 18 or over and give a real email address.
• Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens in your account.
• One person per account.

4. Your content

Your CVs, documents and notes stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide RoleScaler to you, including sending them to the AI providers named in the privacy policy.

Only upload content you have the right to use. Don't upload someone else's CV without their permission.

5. AI results

Match estimates are estimates, not predictions of whether you'll get a job. Suggested edits and cover letters are drafts. They can be wrong or miss things, so read and check them before you use them.

Only claim experience you can back up. RoleScaler marks edits that need proof, and you're responsible for everything you send to employers.

6. Fair use

Please don't:

• try to get around limits, security or access controls
• scrape, copy or resell the service or its results in bulk
• use it to send spam, mass applications or anything unlawful
• put in content that is illegal, harmful or not yours to share

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we'll tell you why first.

7. Job listings

Job listings come from Adzuna and from links you add. We don't control them and can't promise they're accurate or still open.

8. Ending

You can stop using RoleScaler and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may end the beta or the service; if we do, we'll give you reasonable notice to take a copy of your content.

9. Our responsibility

We provide RoleScaler with reasonable care and skill, but during the beta it's offered as it is. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for lost opportunities, job outcomes, or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell you by email about significant changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there can hear disputes, though if you live elsewhere in the UK you can also use your local courts.
